A table showing the average attendances of all thirty-two professional rugby league clubs playing in RFL competitions in 2006, and how they compare as a percentage of their respective local populations. The purpose of this is to reflect who successful they have been at marting themselves to the local community.
Attendance figures are often given in isolation, and so fail to reflect how successful a club has been at marketing itself in its community. This table attempts to remedy this by showing the 2005 average attendances for all 30 professional rugby league clubs as a proportion of their local population.
Away travel for rugby league fans has gotten slightly more complicated with Les Catalans joining Super League from the 2006 season. This table shows all budget airline routes from the UK to the airports which are most accessible for travel to either Perpignan, Narbonne, or Figueras.
